MEET OUR LEADERSHIP
Josh White
Pastor
is the leader of Surrender Church. Josh grew up in Southern Baptist churches and has a family lineage of Pentecostal preachers. From a very young age Josh knew that he was called into ministry. His family was a central part of the church when he grew up and opportunities to serve were always available. Josh always says, “My love for Jesus and serving Him and His people has only grown as I have gotten older.” Josh can often be heard telling others, “If you’re looking for the smartest, most biblically trained, and best-looking Pastor, leading the most perfect church then you have come to the wrong place. But if you’re looking for a team of people who passionately love Jesus, serve him continually, and seek to build relationships that glorify God, then here we are."

Josh and his wife, Jodi, have four children, Devyn, Cody, Kaleb, and Roy. They have served in nearly all avenues of ministry and continue to feel called to serve the Lord. In early 2021 Josh and his family followed in obedience as God called them to Western North Dakota from southern Oregon and they fell in love with the peace garden state. The White family has thrived and grown closer to God in the time they have spent here, the most memorable times being in rural North Dakota supporting Submission Ministry. Josh is excited to bi-vocationally pastor and spearhead Surrender Church, a non-denominational church, into being a team of people that passionately pursues Jesus, humbly supports other churches and ministries, and works daily to support others as they disciple each other to grow in their relationship with Jesus. Joshua Burlison "JB"
Pastor
Submission Ministry
is the leader of Submission Ministry, a ministry of Surrender Church. JB has spent a large portion of his life worshipping and serving his loving God. JB has a passion for serving, and for that very reason, you will often see him running the operations of both Surrender Church and Submission Ministry. The only thing larger than JB’s beard is his love for God and God’s people. JB and his wife Erika have 3 children, Joshua Isaiah (J.I.), Ariana and Daniel. Most nights at Surrender Church you will find J.I. and Daniel in the sound booth and Ariana on stage leading worship. Erika is an integral part of the administration of Surrender Church and Submission Ministry.
JB has a reputation as a Prayer Warrior and if you ever see someone who needs prayer, it’s highly likely you will see JB right beside them. JB is fond of serving smaller and rural churches, making him the perfect fit to lead Submission Ministry and be at the forefront of our team obediently serving others and glorifying God by always striving to put others ahead of ourselves.
